Episode 22 is the tenth episode of season 2 of The Promised Neverland anime. It aired on March 19, 2021. Synopsis Emma, Ray, and Norman, along with all the other escapees break into Grace Fields in attempt to save Phil and the others. They bellive they have succeded when Isabella and the sisters surround them, as well as Peter Ratri. However, Isabella turns on Ratri and ends up helping the children. Plot Norman is in the sky Emma, Ray, and Norman plan a break-in to Grace Field to rescue Phil and 119 more children along with him. They plan to launch hot air balloons and drop a demon-killing drug on the farms. However, Norman was in with Vincent ratting out the information to Peter Ratri's base, allowing Isabella to update her security to handle the raid. Intending on capturing Norman and killing everyone else, Ratri gives the operation a green light. Meanwhile, Phil, Simon and other children from the farm are instructed to get ready to be "shipped out", to everyone's delight, but to Phil's horror. Despite his attempts to delay it, the woman proceeds to do it for him. Soon after, the children from Lambda begin infiltrating Grace Fields via hot air balloons. Ratri's trap to lure the escapees back to the house is going just as planned, and has rewarded Isabella by promoting her to the grandma position. However, the hot-air balloons were decoys planted to explode on impact with the ground, allowing Sonju and Norman's co-conspirators to attack and kill them from above. Sonju fighting the demons. Emma, Ray, Norman, Gilda, Don and others manage to get inside, and attack demons they see there with smoke bombs. They obtain a headset from a demon they have tied up, which is connected to Peter Ratri. Jemima and some of the younger children from Grace Fields go to the gate where Phil and the others are giving them a note with Phil's part of the plan. Vincent hacks into the network and taunts Ratri for falling for the trap, and the demons watch Emma sabotage the CCTV system. Emma and Cislo hack into the headsets so that they can communicate with each other, declaring a promise fulfilled. Once the lights were shut down, Jemima leads the children to the elevator while Phil distracts the women with the suitcases, causing them to trip and miss catching the children. The group head to the elevator where everyone reunites. However, the reunion was short-lived, as the breeders point SMGs at them, ready to pull triggers. Isabella tauntingly welcomes the children back. Demon civilians are attacking the farms. Ratri takes in the defeat of the children, and asks them to stand down and surrender. Barbara tries to fight her way out of it, but one of the women shoots her in the foot. Left with no choice, everyone drops their weapons. As Ratri is about to kill Emma, Isabella turns on Ratri and points her gun at his back, everyone following her lead, frustrated with the harsh working conditions and threats of death by the demons and human superiors. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, Ratri still believes he is safe and already won due to backup coming, however the backup was dispatched by civilians of the demon town along with Mujika, Sonju and Vylk, in an uprising against the farms. Emma's kindness to Peter. Vylk breaks into the elevator chamber and declares war on Ratri after enduring centuries of starvation and oppression by the ruling demons and humans. Horrified at seeing Mujika with him, Ratri breaks down, unable to accept that he lost, and taunts everyone that this would only bring destruction upon them all like the devastating war 1,000 years ago. As Isabella is about to kill Ratri, Emma approaches him and proposes a truce with him: to flee to the human world together and be free of all this or die at their hands. Dzieci planują ucieczkę z "sierocińca", mając do pokonania całą masę przeszkód, w tym przede wszystkim swoją opiekunkę. Gdy już się wydaje, że im się wiedzie, coś krzyżuje im plany, by znowu powiać nadzieją. Jest huśtawka nastrojów, tym bardziej, że los tak dobrze stworzonych bohaterów nie jest obojętny (a ich przyszłość zaprawdę nie rysuje się kolorowo). Bohaterowie mają różne osobowości, silne charaktery, które niekiedy wchodzą ze sobą w konflikt. Każdy czytelnik na pewno znajdzie swojego faworyta (lub kilku). Rysunki są szczegółowe. Dobrze przekazują klimat: pomieszanie sielskiej atmosfery z ciągle wiszącą w powietrzu grozą. A także, co bardzo ciekawe, obrazują to, co dzieje się w głowach protagonistów (i antagonistów też). A bardzo często dzieją się tam makabryczne rzeczy. W tym tomie przygoda dopiero się rozpoczyna. A później jest tylko coraz ciekawiej. Autor: Prozac Data: pochlebnymi recenzjami oraz faktem, że ten tytuł ma w sumie te same kategorie co Evangelion (shounen/fantastyka), kupiłem i sprawdziłem. Nie. Te same miejsca i wydarzenia pod wpływem odkrywanych w trakcie lektury wydarzeń przybierają różne oblicza, a nastrój momentalnie potrafi ulec zmianie przyprawiając nas o ciarki. Historia opowiedziana jest z prawdziwą wprawą, czytelnik trzymany jest w niewiedzy, na równi z bohaterami i wraz z nimi powoli odkrywa sekrety świata. Nie zawsze jednak możemy brać wszystkie informacje za prawdziwe, co dodatkowo pogłębia uczucie dezorientacji i zagrożenia. Świat ,,The Promised Neverland’’ jest miejscem pełnym złudzeń, półprawd i ślepych zaułków. Mówiąc o zaletach mangi nie sposób tutaj nie wspomnieć o bohaterach. Przyznam szczerze, że początkowo miałam pewne obawy jak to wszystko będzie współgrało z dziećmi w roli głównej, tym bardziej dość małymi, Emma ma 10 lat, a Norman i Ray 11, przy czym są to jedne z najstarszych dzieci w Grace Field House. Na pomoc przychodzi tutaj ich nadprzeciętna inteligentna – dzieci od maleńkości szkolone by osiągać jak najlepsze wyniki w nauce (dlaczego kładziono na to aż taki nacisk dowiedziecie się podczas lektury, nie martwcie się, wszystko zostało wyjaśnione) potrafią wykorzystać to w praktyce. Nie tylko potrafią świetnie planować, ale także są niezwykle spostrzegawcze i na bieżąco analizują sytuacje z jaką przyszło się im mierzyć. W trakcie lektury szybko przestaniemy odczuwać, że czytamy o grupce dzieci i nie raz będziemy pod wrażeniem ich trzeźwego umysłu. Należy jednak podkreślić, że nie odebrano im swoistego dla dzieci uroku i prostoty – to nadal bohaterowie którzy kierują się uczuciami i mają swoje słabości. I, co jeszcze ciekawsze, nie tylko wspomniana trójka głównych bohaterów zasługuje na uwagę. Wśród tak licznego grona wyróżnia się naprawdę sporo ciekawych postaci i aż miło, że poświęcono tyle uwagi także bohaterom drugoplanowym. Kreska w mandze jest fantastyczna, dzięki czemu ,,The Promised Neverland’’ stanowi nie tylko ciekawą lekturę, ale także zachwyca detalami. A tych jest naprawdę sporo, w szczególności jeżeli poświęcimy chwile na przypatrzenie się poszczególnym kadrom – malunki dzieci na ścianach sierocińca, drobne acz wyczuwalne zmiany w przedstawieniu tych samych miejsc w zależności od rozgrywających się wydarzeń. Wszystko to składa się nie tylko na urok, ale i przejmujący klimat towarzyszący nam podczas lektury. ,,The Promised Neverland’’ to seria, którą można określić jako psychologiczny thriller z domieszką fantastyki i horroru. Przy czym wszystkie te elementy zostały wymieszane w odpowiednich proporcjach tworząc lekturę od której ciężko się oderwać. Dlatego, jeżeli jeszcze nie mieliście okazji zapoznać się z tym tytułem, gorąco zachęcam do nadrobienia zaległości, w szczególności, że cała seria jest już dostępna w sprzedaży, nie trzeba więc czekać na wychodzenie kolejnych tomików.
